Events - McCALL WAAF FUNDRAISER 2007
Pictures from McCall Waaf Fundraiser:
LABOR DAY WEEKEND IN MCCALL with Waaf Inc fund raiser.
For the third consecutive year the ICWDA was invited to participate in the Waaf fund
raiser in McCall. The group's demo team danced a thirty minute routine, followed by
our friends and fellow members from McCall who performed a couple of routines themselves. That was followed by dance lessons for all that attended, then three different dance contests with a first and second place trophy awarded in each division. Everyone had a fun time.
Waaf Inc is a Community Outreach Organization for the Community of McCall and surrounding areas. Their mission is to create strong connected families within their community. In March 2002 they opened a Thrift Store on Highway 55 next to the Subway Shop. It is run entirely by a volunteer staff where all items sold are received as donations. This operation supports their current community outreach efforts and allows Waaf to build the seed money for an Aquatic Recreation Center fund raising effort.
Waaf began and continues its efforts through various activities such as sending underprivileged children to Summer Camp, sponsoring sports teams, and working with other outreach and support programs within the McCall community to provide healthy and safe activity alternatives for people of all ages.
